Make a date on Friday nights at ACMI (Melb) to attend AFTRS' Friday-On-My-Mind Q&A? (16+). It's a series of FREE talks curated and hosted by AFTRS where you can hear from the brightest in the screen arts and broadcast industries.
Subscribe to the free e-newsletters from IF Magazine or FilmInk; they are extremely useful for keeping abreast of what is happening in the industry.
Participate in Casting Director workshops; they are invaluable for learning your craft and making industry connections.
Become a member of MEAA and or AACTA, as they provide real networking opportunities. Both these organisations have free screenings for members, workshops and industry events.
